The hotel you stay in plays an important part in completing your entire Bangkok experience. This year, we decided to have our accommodations at AccorHotels latest Novotel-branded hotel in the heart of Sukhumvit which caters to both business and leisure travellers – Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20

1. Super Accessible Location

Located just a short 10-minute walk away from the Sukhumvit MRT and Asoke BTS stations, you can consider taking Suvarnabhumi Airport Link to Phaya Thai Station (45 baht only, save your money for shopping) and do a quick change of trains to Asoke BTS Station. The benefit of being served by both BTS and MRT makes this hotel a super convenient rest and drop off point for our shopping spoils! Plus we love how thoughtful the hotel provides personalised Tuk Tuk transport to and fro the main road. Hop on and go!

2. Early Check In & Beautiful Lobby

We reached the hotel at around 12pm which was way before the official check in timing. While waiting for the front desk lady to check if our room can be made available earlier, we took a seat and feasted our eyes on the beautiful and welcoming lobby. She soon came back with a positive answer and we are on our way up to the rooms!

3. Spacious & Gorgeous Rooms

We love how spacious the rooms are, allowing sufficient space for us to drop our shopping bags and still have room to move about! Each of the hotel’s 244 rooms (ranging from Superior, Deluxe, Executive Deluxe, Family and Executive Suites) perfectly blends clean modern lines and traditional Thai style, allowing you to unwind in an atmosphere of unmatched calm and relaxation.

The bed with its generous pillows and cushions makes it great to just chill out in front of the TV after a long day of walking. All rooms feature the fullest range of contemporary comforts, including complimentary Wi-Fi, modern furnishings, large LCD TVs and bright, stylish, bathrooms.

4. Extra Kinks For Couples 

The glass wall for the showers adds a surprising kink for couples. But of course if you are too shy for that, you can simply press a button for the blinds to drop.

5. Wide Range Of Dining Options Just Within The Hotel

For foodies, you have loads of dining options right within the hotel to suit every taste. The moment you step into the hotel, you would have seen the Gourmet Bar. They are your quick fix for burgers cravings. You must sample their Epic Burger which consist of fresh tomato, crunchy lettuce, local chips, meat and the rest is according to your tastes.Every day, breakfast is served at the Food Exchange where you will get to sample a wide range of delicacies ranging from the international spread of pastries, bacon, omelettes to Japanese sushi, Korean Kim Chi and of course traditional Thai dishes such as soup noodles. Really wholesome breakfast to start your day re-charged!

6. Soak In The Infinity Pool With An Amazing Bar

No matter how packed your schedule is, always reserve some chill out time at the hotel’s infinity pool on the 9th floor. Its pool bar serves cool drinks and light meals under the covered poolside dining area or in the comfort of a sun lounger. Some of the recommended menu items include the burgers, which are said to be particularly mouthwatering.

If you love to sip your cosmos or wine while you soak. Come during “Sundowner Time” between 5pm to sunset and enjoy 50% discount on all drinks. Great before you head out for dinner.

7. Night Cap On Sky On 20

Sky on 20 invites guests to take a step back from the busy streets and unwind in one of Bangkok’s most chilled venues. Located on the 26th floor of the hotel, it is the perfect venue to round off the evening with a nightcap while taking in the colours and lights of the Bangkok nightscape. Finding it was kind of an adventure too!

Sky On 20 offers stunning 270-degree views of the sunsets and nightscape of the City of Angels. We loved how the seats are positioned to allow for privacy and maximise the great view of the city.

Sky on 20 serves a full range of wines and imported craft beers, and the bar staff can mix just about any cocktail you can name. Tapas-style snacks and pizzas are also served. They have nice cosy seats for group gatherings too.

8. Gym Bunnies Not Forgot

If you need to burn off the calories from stuffing yourself silly with awesome good food in Bangkok, hit the 24 hours gym in the hotel. You can either wake up early before your travel mates get up or at night after everyone turns in for the evening.

9. Little Ones Entertained For More Private Time

Folks who travel with kids can leave your little ones at the hotel’s kids room for more private couple time.

If you are like us who always leave the hotel at the final hour, you will appreciate Novotel’s super convenient key drop off service. You just drop your key in and hop onto your cab. No waiting time required!

Overall, we love our stay at the hotel. The location, rooms amenities were amazing and we felt absolutely welcomed by the friendly and dedicated staff at the Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20.
