Virgin Ride On The Legendary CH47 Chinook
It was a great honour to be one of the social media influencers selected for the airshow preview and a chance to take a ride on CH47 Chinook. On the way to the Chinook ride, Raymond from the RSAF welcomed us onboard and gave us a safety briefing.
We were also issued ear plugs to keep our sanity while on the Chinook. Trust me, they came really handy.
The walking over to the Chinook was really awesome. You feel like a secret agent heading out to some mission. Before we know it, we are all fully strapped and ready for take off.
Taking off from a helicopter is a whole new ball game. There isn’t the usual acceleration before taking off, we are practically lifted off the ground!
The rear of the air craft was deliberately left open for us to savour the scenery below.
The flight over Singapore coastline was gorgeous.
After landing, we took a group photo to remember our virgin ride on the Chinook!
Behold Our Spectacular RSAF Black Knights Aerial Display
RSAF Black Knights once again stole the limelight for the airshow.
Visitors will witness the aerobatic team’s precise and spectacular manoeuvres in action.
Woah, perfect mirror image!
Of course, there is also a softer side to our RSAF Black Knights.
Chill Out At The RSAF Pavilion
When you can’t stand anymore of the sun, retreat back to the nice fully air-conditioned RSAF Pavilion. The RSAF Pavilion comprises three distinct zones: Zone 1 – Our Air Force Heritage and Transformation, Zone 2 – Experiencing our Air Force Capabilities and Zone 3 – Our People, Our Tribe. These three zones will provide visitors with a better understanding of the history and transformation of the RSAF and also showcase the 3rd Generation RSAF’s operational capabilities and people.
