There were doubts that trainers will never be able to hit the ultimate goal of catching 3 billion Pokemon by 26 November 2017 when Niantic first launched Pokemon GO Global Catch Challenge in a few days ago. But the Pokemon GO community rallied together on a global hunt, captured 3 billion Pokemon, and successfully unlocked the gold tier rewards! Trainers worldwide now have 48 hours to catch Farfetch’d & Kangaskhan which was previously exclusive to East Asia and Australia respectively! Start your hunt for Farfetch’d & Kangaskhan now!
This elusive gold tier rewards stack on top of the bronze and silver tier rewards. This means that while Trainers are currently enjoying double XP, double stardust, and six-hour lure modules as well as the addition of new Pokemon. This should make hunting for Farfetch’d and Kangaskhan more rewarding, and should ensure that you do not feel like you are wasting your time, even if it may takes awhile to find these region-exclusive Pokemon out in the wild.
Before you get busy with your catch, let us appreciate what the global community has done over the past days to achieve that target!

Purpose Of Pokemon GO Global Catch Challenge
The Global Catch Challenge is a campaign targeted to reinvigorate interest in Pokemon GO. While Pokemon GO has maintained a legion of dedicated players, many have given up on the title for one reason or another. Hopefully, with these perks, some of these dormant trainers can be convinced to rejoin Pokemon GO to catch Farfetch’d or Kangaskhan and start making the game part of their daily routine again.
Folks who are having trouble finding Farfetch’d out in the wild should put your six-hour lure modules to good use, as they could very well lead one of these elusive creatures your way. Have fun!
