Let’s face it. We abuse our skin more than any other part of our body. We just don’t think about it as much as we should. Then we complain that we have acne or other blemishes–, like comedones. This last one is more common than you think, yet people know little about it; you can learn more about misumi and comedones prevention instead so you can find ways to get rid of them. Here are some quick and easy ways in which you can take better care of your skin, and prevent spots before they happen.
1. Hydrate
Let’s say it again: hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. This does not include sports drinks or coffee. Your body needs plain old water in order to function. Doctors recommend drinking eight to ten glasses of water a day in order to stay properly hydrated. Not only will your organs and joints thank you, but your skin will take on a healthier glow.
Water can help to smooth and prevent wrinkles and other signs of ageing, as well. Think of a prune. That’s just a grape with the water sucked out of it. Which one has smoother skin?
2. Just Relax
Seriously. Stress is a major cause of blotching and acne. While it is nearly impossible to avoid stress altogether, the way in which you react to it can cause major damage to your skin. Try some relaxation methods like meditation or yoga. Make time to just veg out in front of the television. Everyone needs a little time to themselves in order to just sit and chill. Your skin will thank you for it.
3. Wear Sunscreen
Even in the winter. We all love that fiery ball in the sky, but it doesn’t love our skin as much as we wish it would. The sun’s harmful UV rays can accelerate signs of ageing and cause your skin to appear leathery and worn out. If that doesn’t scare you enough, the sun has also been known to cause skin cancer. A sunscreen with at least 15 SPF can help to reduce these effects.
4. Get Plenty of Sleep
This should be a no-brainer. When you don’t sleep well, you get bags under your eyes. Your entire body just seems to sulk and sag when it’s exhausted. Make sure you’re planning your day to where you’re able to get enough sleep at night. If that seems like an impossibility, perhaps a few lifestyle changes are in order. You need to look out for yourself and that begins with taking care of your body.
5. Chemical Peels
Dead layers of skin can stay attached to your face for days. Sometimes all it needs is a little help in being removed and your skin is restored to its natural beauty and glow. The name might sound scary, but chemical peels have been around for ages. All the chemical is doing is removing the layer of dead skin, unclogging pores, and allowing your true beauty to shine through. A quick look at some chemical peel before and after pics should be all the convincing you need that this solution is worth a try.
