Corgi In The Garden Bangkok – Be In The Company Of Fluffy Butts

It’s hard not to fall in love with Corgis. With their fluffy butts, wobbling trot on those short, thick legs and charming antics, these dogs have captured the hearts of folks all over the world. If you are visiting the Thai capital and absolutely adore Corgis, you must take some time out of your itinerary to visit Corgi In The Garden Bangkok. They have gorgeous Cardigan Welsh Corgi and Pembroke Welsh Corgis with cute names like Babycorn, Porkchops and Buttercup. As the cafe is not close to any BTS or MRT Stations, we recommend you to take a taxi or just Grab directly to save time and avoid the hassle of switching between trains and taxis.

To get more of the Corgis’ attention (besides luring them with snacks), we recommend visiting on a weekday. Once you reach, there is an entrance fee of 250 Baht (around S$10.00), which includes a drink of your choice. We decided to add on a cake to top up the sweetness.

You can see your drinks and food being prepared in their kitchen which is just opposite the ticketing counter.

To ensure a safe environment for the corgis, the cafe does regular cleaning and sanitising. You will need to play your part as well by removing your shoes and switching to these plastic feet covers.

Remember to wash your hands before going into the corgis’ space too.

The drinks and cake did not take long to arrive and you are free to pick your spot in the corgis’ interaction space. We decided to go for the centre table for the maximum opportunity to engage these flurry furballs. For a pet cafe, I was really surprised by the quality of their cake and drinks.

Soon, the corgis started wobbling in. As we were more used to the Pembroke Welsh Corgis due to our adorable furball at home – @CorgiWithBoots, the Cardigan Welsh Corgi was a refreshing breed for us. To identify each corgi, look for their name which is on the collar.

Corgis are very practical creatures. They will make a beeline straight for anyone with snacks. To get upclose and personal with them, you should get a bowl of snacks for 250 Baht (around S$10.00). These clever corgis’ got all excited once they see a staff carry out a yellow snack bowl and will start to work their charm with the customer who ordered it. We tried to make the most of our lures to get awesome photos with them.

Corgis have lots of tricks up their furry paws to get food from you. Some adopt the butterfly tactic, frolicking around anyone with food, some play the loyalty card sticking to one guest, some give you the ‘look’ and one or two bark to demand for their share. You can even get them to sit and give you a paw shake while you are at it.

If you are feeling more adventurous, try the double corgi stand with snacks in both hands! Do note that you are likely to get loads of saliva on your hands when you feed them. You should try to let them eat the food from your palm rather than your fingers because corgis may accidentally bite you if they get too excited. Remember not to throw the food on the floor as it may incite a fight between the dogs.

For folks who are not as fast with their shutters, not to worry. The cafe will also line up some of their corgis for a group photo opportunity with them. Just snap away for your perfect shot!

After all the customers ran out of snacks, all the corgis started to just chill and laze around.

This is when some of the cafe staff started to play with them. You can see from their eyes that they really adore their corgis and are passionate about their job. Such lucky lives these furballs have.
