Savour New D9 Cakery Saturday High Tea Buffet At Hilton Hotel Singapore

Saturday afternoons are meant for leisure indulgence of good food with friends and family. We are thrilled to kickstart our first monthly family meal on a savoury and sweet note at the enhanced D9 Cakery Saturday High Tea Buffet. Besides the popular six-meter showcase of beautifully handcrafted D9 artisanal cakes by Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo, the buffet line-up presents over 30 choices of international and local delights featuring six live stations of gourmet carvings, seafood bar, Parmesan cheese wheel pasta, stone-hearth oven cooked pizzas and a variety of gastronomic savoury and local favourites. That’s mom looking super satisfied.

D9 Cakery Saturday High Tea Buffet – Start The Journey

We begin our afternoon indulgence at the ocean-fresh seafood bar serving bottomless Thai tiger prawns, Japanese clams and New Zealand green mussels or get on a healthy start with a variety of gourmet salad choices. Next up is the 14-hour slow roasted Wagyu beef leg where the chef’s carefully carved-out juicy slices on request will satisfy all meat cravings. At the Japanese specialty corner, there are various options of hand-rolled maki ranging from ‘unagi’ eel, ‘ebi’ fried prawns, and soft shell crab to classic sushi favourites of salmon, prawn and ‘kohada shelk’ gizzard shad fish sushi.

At the live Parmesan cheese wheel pasta station, the chef prepares à la minute serving of enticing king prawn ‘tom yam’ pasta with coconut milk and spices. While the stone-hearth oven serves mouth-watering pizzas such as Moroccan meatball and preserved lemon and four-cheese with artichokes and olives flavours. We must emphasize how thrilled we were to find cheese wheel pasta in Singapore. We heard many restaurants gave up the dish due to high wastage of the cheese at the bottom of the bowl (probably due to Singapore’s weather, European cities do not seem to have that issue). Do correct us if we are wrong.

D9 Cakery Saturday High Tea Buffet – The Savouries

Choose from the assortment of savoury selections such as charcoal bun pulled Wagyu beef sliders, crispy soft shell crab in a brioche bun,  French baguette with Parma ham and fresh figs, smoked salmon cream cheese and cucumber laugen rolls, just to name a few.

For local comfort options and all-time favourites, try Singapore laksa, oyster omelette, chicken and lamb satay, assorted Chinese dim sum and many more.

D9 Cakery Saturday High Tea Buffet – The Sweets

For those with insatiable appetites, D9 Cakery six-meter dessert showcase is an artisanal spread of handcrafted pastries by Executive Pastry Chef Cindy Khoo. Try her signature recommendations of sakura velvet, royal hazel, belle, carrot cake, citron tart and pecan walnut tart.

Pick from the selection of homemade shooter dessert options including flavours of king’s cake, fraise strawberry, Opalys white chocolate with pecan and rosy valentine. Also not to be missed are homemade macarons, pralines, classic loafs and marble cakes, a variety of Hilton famous cheesecakes, freshly baked scones and a live chocolate fountain with home-made financier, marshmallow, fresh strawberries and mango.
