Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of a favourite animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. From 16 March 2017, Disney is teaming up with Spotify to invite its users to step inside the magical world of Disney’s Beauty & The Beast Castle and enjoy a world of music and content within.
Spotify users who visit the castle will first have their Spotify listening profile analysed. Once the musical analysis is complete, you will be directed to the room of the castle which best matches your musical taste. The rooms in the castle include The Rose Room, The Ballroom, Belle’s Bedroom, The Beast’s Bedroom, The Dining Room, The Library and The Dungeon.
Each of the rooms has a bespoke, curated Spotify playlist and features beautiful photography from the film. The Beauty and the Beast microsite also features exclusive ‘behind the scenes’ interviews with the cast and crew of the film, including interviews with vocal artists John Legend and Ariana Grande during the recording of the classic Beauty and the Beast theme song.
Marco Bertozzi, VP of Europe, Sales for Spotify, said: “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast is one of the most charming and beautifully-designed campaigns ever launched in partnership with Spotify. It takes music fans on a magical journey through an enchanted castle, linking music with everyroom and exploring the themes from the film through each of the rooms. These kinds of collaborations bring the very best of sound and vision together on the Spotify platform to deliver a beautiful and engaging experience for music and movie fans.”
