This year, in celebration of Disney’s 100^th anniversary, Harbour City is teaming up with MEDICOM TOY to present the Disney-themed Christmas event “Disney100 CHRISTMAS LOVE 2000% BE@RBRICK UP” from 24 November 2023 to 1 January 2024 to delight all trendy individuals, children and adults alike. 100 unique 2000% Disney characters BE@RBRICK figurines (approx. 140cm tall) will be displayed at various locations throughout the mall, from Gateway Arcade to the Atrium of Ocean Terminal and “Gallery by the Harbour”. From the iconic Mickey and Friends series to the timeless Disney Classics and Disney Princess series, the collection also includes popular characters from Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.

Harbour City has been a long-standing partner of MEDICOM TOY in Hong Kong, having previously hosted three highly successful large-scale events that never failed to surprise and delight fans. This fourth collaboration promises to be the largest-scale and most impressive yet, with the opportunity to acquire the coveted 2000% figurines – an exceedingly rare occurrence.

In addition to the remarkable 2000% BE@RBRICK figurines, Harbour City will delight fans by offering exclusive merchandises. Keep an eye out for the highly anticipated special release of 100% BE@RBRICK Olaf, as well as the BE@RBRICK Gingerbread Mickey Mouse in 100%, 400% and 1000% size. There are also totes, t-shirts, socks, cushions, rugs, butter cookies and calendar card. Harbour City will donate all proceeds from the project after deduction of costs to “Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation”, continuing the cherished Christmas tradition.

53 popular characters have been masterfully transformed into BE@RBRICK format for the first time, including Anna and Elsa from “Frozen”, Russell and Carl from “Up”, Wade Ripple and Ember Lumen from “Elemental” and also Marvel’s Black Panther and Thanos. Prepare to be captivated by the magnificent “BE@RBRICK Snow Party” at the Atrium I, Gateway Arcade. Immerse yourself in a festive wonderland where Minnie, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and many more endearing BE@RBRICK characters don their delightful Christmas attire. The twelve of them join forces to create a 4.2-meter-tall 6000% snow-white BE@RBRICK Mickey Mouse, radiating the joyous spirit of the season. Ascend to the third floor of Gateway Arcade and be greeted by Lotso and Bunny, who graciously await your arrival atop a floating snowball, creating a truly magical encounter.

Stepping out of the party area, 78 BE@RBRICK figurines line a hallway in Gateway Arcade, making it an irresistible backdrop for fabulous holiday photos. Each snowy island showcases unique collections of Disney series, spanning from the timeless Disney classics like “Lady and the Tramp” and “101 Dalmatians” to recent hits like “Inside Out” and “Zootopia”, as well as the newly released “Elemental”. Another photogenic spot to visit is the “Snow Mountain Playground” located at the Atrium of Ocean Terminal. This enchanting setting offers a delightful opportunity for kids to meet their beloved characters such as Mickey Mouse, Lightning McQueen from “Cars”, and Mr. Incredible alongside Jack-Jack from “The Incredibles”. Eight iconic figures will be eagerly awaiting your arrival in front of the snow mountain, inviting everyone to take snowy photos. Adding to the excitement, a cute miniature train will transport a collection of 100% BE@RBRICK figurines as they traverse the snow-covered landscape, embarking on thrilling adventures alongside the children. 

The 2000% Disney-themed BE@RBRICK figurines have been used solely for exhibitions, but this project marks a special exception with all figurines available for sale. These figurines present a remarkable deviation from the classic BE@RBRICKs released by MEDICOM TOY. They are uniquely crafted from fiberglass material in all-in-one and non-action design. Both designs are available in a 100% size (approx. 7cm height), while the BE@RBRICK Gingerbread Mickey Mouse are released in larger sizes, including 400% (approx. 28cm height) and 1000% (approx. 70cm height) sizes, allowing you to choose the perfect addition to your collection.

Another highlight of the Pop-up store is that MEDICOM TOY delivered 40 popular Disney-themed BE@RBRICKs to Hong Kong for exhibition, some of which are rare and discontinued. Set against a captivating white winter theme, the store showcases beloved characters such as Mickey Mouse in unique styles, Minnie Mouse in two delightful variations, Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, Alien and the fluffy Lotso. Additionally, you can expect to find iconic figures like Stitch and 21 characters from the MARVEL series.

The trend of oversized handbags has made a strong return! Embracing the trend, Harbour City has specially designed two large, foldable totes for charity redemption. The BE@RBRICK Gingerbread Mickey Mouse edition is in ivory colour with brown leather accents on the outer pocket embossed with Mickey Mouse on top. While the BE@RBRICK Olaf version captures the essence of winter, with aqua blue hue and sky-blue outer pocket adorned with Olaf’s face. To enhance portability and convenience, the totes are equipped with snap buttons, allowing users to roll it up and carry around. Customers can redeem these totes by making a donation to Hong Kong Blood Cancer Foundation, to support those in need. Limited quantities are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
