This year, CRAZY CHRISTMAS comes back with a big bang, celebrating Dream Academy’s 15th Birthday with all their wacky Dream Academy characters! Dream Academy proudly presents their latest festive lineup: Crazy Christmas – A groundNUTCRACKER! Expect to revel in the Christmas spirit and be tickled silly by well-loved segments and BRAND NEW craziness!
Dream Academy Celebrates 15!
Before we go straight on to the performance, we would like to congratulate Dream Academy for coming 15 this year! This Crazy Christmas will be a fabulous recollection of all that Dream Academy has accomplished over the past 15 years. Be prepared for a “Tony Awards”- style opening, as they mash up selected segments from Sing Dollar!, Happy Ever Laughter, Dim Sum Dollies, Kumar and even Sondheim! – guaranteed to bring back memories of their yester-years!
Christmas Classic Crazily Localised
This year, Crazy Christmas presents a crazy and local take on The Nutcracker – or, as they have called it “A groundNUTCRACKER”!. Imagine a “Hokkienised” version with their very own sugar plum(p) fairy – this will be a Ballet segment which is more “ground up” than the elections! A Ballet with LAUGHS – enough said.
There will also be lots of BRAND NEW hilarious moments like the Dim Sum Dollies celebrating Christmas with post-election fervour as DEMOCRATIC REFORMED WORKERS, Kumar and his beloved groundnuts and the entire Crazy Christmas Gang who will rock those Christmas tunes with amazing harmonies as well as Broadway Beng ‘Hokkienised’ version (subtitles may not be necessary because our ballet figures and tutus will do the talking) ballet segment which is more “ground up” than the general elections. So if you have any hesitation about catching this show, just shake it off, shake it off… and like Taylor, be Swift and get to SISTIC!

Speaking of yester-years, it will also be a time where Dream Aacdemy will be bringing back some of our well-loved Crazy Christmas favourites! You will get to see Dim Sum Dollies, Broadway Beng, Kumar, Dr TCM TCM !!!! We will be celebrating with lots of cheekiness and good cheer! Be prepared to be tickled silly and come out feeling all Christmassy! Remember Pam Oei’s infamous Christmas wannabe Bat? Something tells us she’ll be back!

Celebrating with kids from 1 to 92
This Crazy Christmas is also special because Dream Academy is also putting together a Dream Choir consisting of kids from Nanyang Primary School and seniors from the Henderson Senior Activity Centre. It is part of the spirit of Christmas to bring joy and laughter to all, or as “The Christmas Song” sings… to kids from 1 to 92!
