Everybody wants to be healthy despite living in Singapore. With all those Char Kuay Teow, Satay, Laksa and other Asian delights nearby our office or home, we’ll get fat eventually as there are too much oil and fats in it. We tend to get lazy when we need to walk out of our homes/offices/staycation/birthday parties/picnic and enjoy the scorching sun and get sweaty all over before we can even enjoy a proper lunch/brunch!
Our editorial team decided to come up with different ideas to be healthy – have our daily nutrition fix – while working in a fast-paced environment. Whether the sun was scorching, the rain was pouring and we don’t want to get out of the office, that’s where we thought of using Deliveroo, an on-demand premium food delivery service that helps to bring meals from a wide selection of independent and high-quality chain restaurants to customers’ homes or offices, in an average time of 32 minutes or less! The team went through several debates and came into a conclusion: we would only eat clean OR bring the café experience into our office.
Day 1 – Sushi Burrito
We had a healthy lunch with Sushi Burrito when we were packed with our heavy schedule. Featuring Rainbow Shrimp (Full) – $10.90, Crabby Crunch (Full) – $13.90 & Hot Chick (Full) – $9.90. Within 30 minutes, the food was delivered and it was still fresh and delectable.
Day 2- Group Therapy Cafe
It was raining on day 2 so we’ve decided to stay indoors and order our lunch from Group Therapy Cafe through Deliveroo and they actually brought the cafe food to our office. It was a whole new level of experience when you eat cafe food in your own office! Featuring Skinny Eggs Ben ($17), Poached Egg with scrambled egg ($18.00), Gold Rush Waffle($15), Chicken Mushroom Breadbowl($15), Pork Bratwurst Sausage($4.50), Rekordelig Pear($14.50), Mint Mocha Soy ($7.10), Beef Cheeseburger($21.00) and Mint Mocha Iced($7.50)
The food tasted as good as when we ate at the cafe. It was still warm and delicious! We ended our meal with the Gold Rush Waffle which comes with two scoops of ice cream and the thick salted egg yolk sauce. Heavenly and contented lunch!
