Feet Remedy for Katong Foodies & Shopaholics

East Coast Road is a popular spot in eastern Singapore particularly if you are into Peranakan cuisine or the famous Katong Laksa. With the recent opening of Katong 112 Shopping Mall, this place is fast becoming a haunt for shopaholics too.

For a foodie & occasional shopper like me, nothing beats a good foot massage after a rewarding dinner and a fulfilling shopping trip. It’s comforting to know that Feet Haven was just a stone throw away!

Established in April 2011, customers of Feet Haven can choose from its many services such as Foot, Shoulder and Neck and Body massage. The boss Dennis Toh is a good friend of mine. He was indulging in a quick session himself!

Here are some of the reasons why regular foot massage is good for you:

Being a social media marketer himself, Dennis came up with a cute status update stand that highlight his sentiments on the latest current affairs and pop culture. Guess what he was trying to convey below.

I was lucky to visit during their low peak hours. There is a cozy waiting area where you can doing some readings or check your twitter messages if there is a queue. While you are there, remember to check out the photos of their satisfied customers – lots of cute people.

Knowing that some customers may not be comfortable being vocal about their personal preference, I was given these suggestive cards to get my point across.

Everything starts with a warm water bath to get your feet relaxed.

Mind you that was no ordinary warm water, it contained high quality sea salt flavoured with cinnamon sticks and parsley.

Once my feet were cleansed, my masseur started the slow kneading of my sole. Certain pressure points send surges of pleasure…. very nice…

I love the tingling sensation from the individual nudging of my toes.

The perk of having a masseur working on your feet is that they are able to customise to your personal preference and reach areas that mechanical feet massager can’t access.

My package Yawn Medley ($38) include a 15 minutes shoulder and neck message after my 45 minutes soothing foot reflexology. Arghh.. I really needed that after hours of blogging in front of my lappy…

Massaging of my butt feels surprisingly good too.
