Bangkok – Getting Wet & Wild for Songkran

While the Red Shirts protesters are out at the Victory Monument, Vibhavadi Road and other government office areas in Bangkok having head on confrontation with Thai Military / Police Force, the rest of the merry people in Bangkok are taking over the streets of silom with water pistols, buckets and trashcans filled with ice water! It’s Wet Wet Wild time (inspired by Ms Nicole Lee) for Songkran!

Here’s a quick explanation of the festival: Songkran is a three-day holiday in Thailand, April 13-15. Over the years, it has slowly evolved from the gentle pouring of water over the hands of friends and relatives to a crazy large scale water fight frenzy.
