However, if you don’t want to see the island on foot, you can always take a ferry and get to see its most impressive view from the ocean.

Heraklion

Known as the capital city of Crete, this city is full of life and the hustle and bustle of locals getting on with their days. Here you can find the palace of Knossos which is a must-see attraction on your trip to Greece. There is also a plethora of museums to visit and fully immerse yourself into the culture and history of Greece and Crete. Although this city isn’t the most beautiful one, once you have spent a bit of time there you will grow to love everything it has to offer you on your vacation.

When people think of going to Greece many people tend to think that all you can do there is a layout on the beach all day and eat food. This is definitely not the case.
