Marina Bay Sands Introduces Exciting New Attractions & Activities

From leisurely Sampan rides to catching mesmerising sunsets 56-storeys atop the world’s longest cantilever, you can look forward to a truly remarkable experience at Marina Bay Sands Singapore with the introduction of three new programmes – Eye of the Waterfall Tour, Sampan Musical Voyage, and Sunset in the Sky.

Beginning at the heart of The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands, the Eye of the Waterfall Tour allows you to get a close-up view of the majestic Rain Oculus and marvel as the water cascades from a skylight two storeys overhead. This new guided tour offers insight into the design and sustainability features of the Rain Oculus, demonstrating how sustainability features have been seamlessly integrated into the architecture and art of the integrated resort. The tour is available every Tuesday at 5PM.

The Sampan Musical Voyage was launched as part of the integrated resort’s inaugural Music Festival – Where Music Takes Over, welcoming you to embark on a leisurely ride while being serenaded by talented Sampan singers, taking them on a musical voyage down the Canal at The Shoppes.

From 15 July to 2 August, you are invited to learn to play simple percussive instruments and sing along to a song specially composed to pay homage to the Sampan boats’ role in Singapore’s rich history and culture. Titled “Little Boat of Dreams”, the melodious track was co-written by local music producer and filmmaker Eric Wong, together with pop band Scarlet Avenue’s Amos Ang. Wong also worked with local musician and composer Syafiqah Adha to arrange the soundtrack, which has been commissioned exclusively for Marina Bay Sands’ Sampan Musical Voyage programme. The Sampan Musical Voyage is available every Thursday to Saturday, at 2PM and 6PM.

Completing the lineup of new programmes is Sunset in the Sky, an exhilarating sky-high experience that invites you to revel at Singapore’s beautiful skyline over delicate chocolates by celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and a flute of bubbly in hand. Known for its 360-degree panoramic views of the city skyline, SkyPark Observation Deck allows members of the public to immerse themselves in a unique atmosphere atop one of Singapore’s most iconic architectural marvels. Starting from 27 July, you can enjoy Sunset in the Sky from 6PM to 9PM every Thursday through Sunday.

As a final treat, you are invited to step into an immersive world of wonder and enchantment at Digital Light Canvas by teamLab located at The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands. Developed by teamLab – an internationally acclaimed art collective known for its groundbreaking work in the “Future World: Where Art Meets Science” exhibition, this large-scale interactive installation transforms the space into a captivating digital ecosystem teeming with flora and fauna, beckoning you and your loved ones to interact with the artwork as the animations on the LED floor react instantaneously to your movements.

Through Graffiti Nature, you can bring their drawings to life on the dynamic LED floor, and can also turn their artwork into special mementos at Sketch Factory, where their delicate art pieces are imprinted on tote bags, t-shirts, and badges for them to take home as keepsakes.
