If you are crazy about dogs especially Siberian huskies, you must visit Neverland Siberian True Love Cafe the next time you visit Bangkok, Thailand. Tucked deep into Phahon Yothin Road, Neverland Siberian True Love Cafe is a farm-turned-café that’s home to 17 full-grown Siberian huskies of different colors and sizes. The cafe do not accept bookings and tickets at the counter are charged 350 baht and include a free cake and drink of your choice.
Please make sure you arrive 15 minutes before the interaction time slots (service hours) to avoid disappointment as seats are limited. You can only get upfront and personal with the huskies during these service hours. As with all pets cafes, there are strict rules to follow during your fun time with these adorable huskies.
The cafe only has a handful of tables – four indoors (air-conditioned) and eight outdoors seats. As much as we loathe the hot and humid Bangkok weather, we recommend that you chose the outdoor seats to get the first glimpses of the huskies.
You get to choose from their selection of cheese, mousse or ice cream cakes. We decided to go for their green tea ice cream cake.
As you enjoy your cakes, huskies are slowly allowed out to prowl and you can spot some of them cheekily peeking over the fence.
When Choty, the lady of the house start feeding her huskies with snacks. It’s a sign for you to get ready for the interaction session.
You will need to wash and sanitise your hands before going in to play with the huskies. Shoes have to be removed and you get to wear a disposable plastic shoe instead. Walking in these will need a little getting used to.
The huskies would be first fed a basin of ice to cool down their body temperature as they are kept out of the heat in a purpose-built, air-con enclosure for most of the day. Don’t be taken aback by their aggression, they are just playing with ice. Once they cool down, these huskies are extremely friendly.
There is no need to rush over and try to get your hands on a huskie. You will just end up tiring yourself out. Let them have their fun and they will eventually stop moving about and just chill out at their favourite spot. That’s when you head over to pet them.
You know they love their massages. Just look at that face!
These huskies are so well-mannered that kids are perfectly safe around them.
Don’t be surprised some of them actually doze off when it gets too comfy. These huskies led a charmed life!
