Gear up for a rocket trip to Otterspace or a grocery run for a splendid garden tea party! Following the success of The Bubble Tea Factory in 2019 and Otah & Friends last December, local immersive entertainment company El Masnou will continue telling the story of Otah through volumes two and three of the immersive Otter-themed experience. From today, fans of the Otah & Friends Singapore experiences and members of the public can look forward to an expanded Otter-verse with two brand new game experiences at Gardens by the Bay and Suntec City.
Otah & Friends Singapore – 2 Brand New Volumes & Friends
Adding a touch of magic to everyday spaces through interactive elements and beautiful sets, Otah & Friends seeks to transform a schoolhouse and a supermarket into fun spaces for visitors to hang out in. This time, befriend a new character in each of the upcoming volumes – meet Billy the hornbill and Luckee the boar – two wildlife species that are commonly spotted in Singapore.
In Volume 2: Blast Off, visitors will race against time in a mission to find seven secret tools to launch a rocket into space. Set in the most colourful schoolhouse one can ever imagine, ride on a school bus, rummage through familiar spaces including a library and a classroom to uncover hints in search of these rocket parts. Upon inserting these pieces into the rocket, the launch control centre is revealed. Buckle up and count down with Otah as the rocket blasts off into space before your very eyes!
There is no way you can stop at one experience! Next up, visitors can revel in the joy of grocery shopping as they shuffle down the aisles of Chongkee’s supermarket in Volume 3: Grocery Run. In a shopping experience like no other, fill your trolley with the freshest produce for Otah’s tea party! As the clock ticks down, embark on a hunt for the ingredients needed among mouth-watering displays of seafood, cheese, fruits and bread that will delight your senses. You’ll be able to scan items collected at the checkout counter, and find out if you managed to pick out all the right items. After which, enjoy the fruits of your labour with a tea party right in Otah’s garden – alongside him and his friends!
For more enjoyable gameplay and ample time for photo-taking, visitors will be entitled to a 55-minute experience. To top things off, bring a memory of the experience home with an expanded range of merchandise including iron-on patches, new T-shirt designs, 3D glitter stickers, and new plushies of Otah and his friends. If you’re lucky, you can also catch larger-than-life mascots of Otah, Billy and Luckee at the Otah & Friends!
Volume 2: Blast Off and Volume 3: Grocery Run will officially open to the public on 14 June at Gardens by the Bay’s Supertree Grove (beside Supertree Food Hall), and within Suntec City’s North Wing respectively. Both volumes are set to run till 3 January 2022. Alongside these two new adventures, Volume 1: Playdate is still in action and open to visitors at SAFRA Punggol’s Atrium.
