Sheraton Towers Singapore celebrates the Mid-Autumn Festival with a resplendent curation of traditional baked and contemporary snowskin mooncakes handcrafted to perfection by the culinary team of the award-winning Li Bai Cantonese Restaurant. Unveiling two new flavours in the line-up this year, Li Bai’s exquisitely handcrafted mooncakes, made with the finest ingredients will be available from 31 July to 10 September 2022.
New this year to Li Bai’s traditional baked signatures, the Oats & Dried Fruits Mooncake ($98) packs a punch of wholesome ingredients comprising oats, raisins, apricots, prunes, and dried figs. Other quintessential mooncakes in the baked series include the White Lotus Seed Paste with Double Yolk ($98), White Lotus Seed Paste with Single Yolk ($98), White Lotus Seed Paste with Macadamia Nut ($94), Yam Paste Mooncake with Single Yolk ($98), as well as Mixed Nuts ($98).
In addition to the all-time favourite snowskin mooncakes – Mini Snowskin Champagne ($94), Mini Snowskin Lychee Martini ($94) and Mini Snowskin Sea Salt Truffle Dark Chocolate ($94), Li Bai has curated a new flavour. The new Mini Snowskin Pomegranate ($94) features a pomegranate truffle that balances the sweetness of the creamy white lotus seed paste.
Tastefully encased in an elegant red tower box, the new classic box features an augmented reality journey of “Dreams Abound”, designed by young artist beneficiaries from The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF). The latest introduction to Li Bai’s premium box collection is an opulent lacquer box crafted using recycled wood with 15 layers of lacquer to achieve a flawless glossy finish.
The featured painting on the box is a specially commissioned painting by Fan Zeng, a renowned Chinese artist known for his mastery of traditional Chinese paintings and calligraphy. This exclusive art piece can be found among the art collection exhibited in the restaurant, accentuating the interior and grand table setting of jade, silver and fine bone china. Available in limited quantities, the premium box is a worthy addition to a collector’s treasured collection.
Sheraton Towers X The Business Times Budding Artists Fund
A special collaboration between Sheraton Towers Singapore and young artist beneficiaries, supported by The Business Times Budding Artists Fund (BT BAF) will embark on a digital journey to design an exquisite mooncake box with augmented reality features. Following the theme of “Dreams Abound”, the designs of these boxes are soothing imagery and mellow sounds of butterflies soaring towards dreams and cherry blossoms blooming to prosperity. There is only our hopes and dreams to move us forward in the gentleness of autumn.
