I stayed at Inn Saladeang and great food is just a stone throw away at Baan Restaurant!
Before we serve the dishes, here’s the simple introduction to Thai food. The unique characteristic of Thai cuisine is the use of large quantities of spices, fresh fruits and vegetables found and grown in Thailand in the cooking. A typical Thai food fare consists of salads, finger food, curries, soup, fish/seafood accompanied with rice and a sweet ending with desserts. We realised that Thai cuisine seldom uses cumin as a spice in the cooking.
Let’s start with the appetizer:
Next comes the finger food. Look carefully, its the entire prawn enclosed in the crispy roll.
Here comes the soup!
2 different way to cook the same fish:
Version 1: Deep Fried and Laced with Sweet & Sour Sauce
Version 2: Steamed to perfection
Here’s the seafood dish! Fish egg wrapped in Sotong….I did not really like the fish egg actually. taste abit odd…..
Last but not least…..the sweet ending to a wonderful meal!
Dessert: Thai Mango Sticky Rice Dessert (Khao Niaow Ma Muang)
